Alice In Wonderland Costume Ideas

Alice in Wonderland is just as popular today as it was 50 years ago. If you are looking for a cool costume the "Wonderland" outfit is simple to create and will make you look fantastic.

Truth to be told, there are several versions of Alice in Wonderland that were introduced to the public. There is of course the book, plus an old movie version and a new one. It is up to you to choose the one that suits you the best. My advice is to stick with the classic look.

In order to make your kid look like a true Alice, you will need blue dress with short sleeves, white stockings, white ribbon for the hair, black shoes, makeup (make sure to find makeup for children), a blond wig and a bottle with colored water that has a Drink Me sign on it. Alice is a very lovable character, make sure your kids are polite and happy on Halloween night in order to emphasize the character.

The Mad Hatter

This is another interesting character that is almost equally popular as Alice. Its almost a given that your boy or girl will enjoy wearing this costume. Just like Alice, the Mad Hatter is available in few different versions. He can be evil, funny or even elegant. The main piece of clothing for this costume is the wild top hat.

In addition, you will need to put some makeup (white makeup) on your kid's face. You can use any suit, but try to make it looks unusual, mismatched and include an oversized bow tie. Don't forget the pointy colored shoes. It would be perfect if you can use some glitter on the clothes too.

White Rabbit

The White Rabbit wears some unusual clothes for a rabbit, but this is something typical for Alice in Wonderland story. I'm sure your kid will love to be dressed as this furry character. All you need is a white furry jumpsuit.

In addition, look for furry boot covers and mitts that will represent the rabbit's paws. You can also find a hooded head gear and attach rabbit ears. When it comes to accessories you must find a pocket watch while the waistcoat and top hat are optional.

Cheshire Cat

Although this costume looks difficult, it is actually quite easy to make. Find a purple jumpsuit and paint black and/or pink stripes. Try to find adequate tail, paws and ears from your local store and use them on your kid's hands, head and feet. Take some time to paint your kid's face and make them look like a cat.
